44 years old male presented with complaints of blood after passing stools , admitted for 3 times before requiring blood transfusions at various hospitals ( > 10 units of PRBC ).
On examination patient was pale , had tachycardia & a skin lesion over his right knee ( cutaneous nevus - hemangioma ) . He was referred for Suspicion of cancer of Rectum on Cect abdomen & need for biospy for confirmation .
On colonoscopy patient was found to have a circumferential lesion ~ 30 cm in length . Lesion was of vascular origin . Lesion was actually a hemangioma ( in which biopsy is contraindicated ) . It was similar to ( more larger in size & more vascular ) its counterpart in knee . A Rare case of rectao-sigmoid hemangioma with skin hemangioma ( Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome ).
